| our interpretation |
‘You've got to try things, because sometimes you will get an answer that you don't expect.’ The collection of high quality data is vital, although it’s only half the story. Often the real value of a project lies in what we do with the findings. Unless a study can clearly answer its research objectives, then we‘ve not done our job properly. Sometimes the even best research can lose its value or resonance, becoming dull and two-dimensional. Our job is to keep the people that contributed to the survey at the forefront of the story. Wherever possible, we achieve this through the use of media such as video, photos and case studies. At the same time, we feel that it's about reporting and presenting findings within a wider context. This is where our knowledge of the environment, climate change and sustainable development comes in. We can cross-check what we're learning against our broader understanding of the issues. And it goes without saying that we always try and make our presentations compelling, challenging and memorable. We take a lot of time over this. Reports are great, but a good presentation can make all the difference to bringing about change. After all, our raison d'être is to help our clients convert their investment in research into more confident, sustainable, actions.
